The garden open house is cancelled this year due to the extreme heat index and health concerns for guests, volunteers and vendors.

Visitors are welcome to wander among the many gardens tended by Tollgate volunteers. Tollgate garden areas include arboretum, children's, constructed wetlands, demo, dry river bed/shade, enabling, heritage, hosta, rain, rock ledge, rose, and xerascape. Garden volunteers will share information about the farm and gardens.

This is a free parking and free admission, rain or shine event. The evening will include light refreshments, music, hayrides, and a garden market selling plants.

Photos and picnicking are encouraged. Please no grilling, no pets and no alcohol. 

Previous years, the open house included 30-minute guided walks at 4:15, 5 and 5:45 pm and short talks at 4:45, 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. on subjects including prairie garden plants in the children's garden, the rain garden, beekeeping, and plant division in the hosta garden.
