Greetings from MSU Extension!
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming MSU Extension 2016 Plants of Distinction program on February 3rd (Crowne Plaza - Grand Rapids) and February 4th (Crowne Plaza - Novi). As in previous years, we strive to invite in the very best presenters to bring to life new, unusual and best suited plants for our Michigan environment. This is a high energy and fun educational event to help you beat the winter doldrums and infuse you with inspirational ideas for the coming growing season!
This year’s topics and speakers for both venues are:
· Inspiration and Creativity, Taking Cues from Nature: Dan Benarcik, Chanticleer Gardens, Wayne, PA
· Sensational Shrubbery: Mark Dwyer, Rotary Botanical Gardens, Janesville, WI
· Exciting New Annuals for Containers and Borders: Mark Dwyer, Rotary Botanical Gardens, Janesville, WI
· Emerging Perennials for the Michigan Landscape: Barb Balgoyen, Walters Gardens, Zeeland, MI
Cost will remain at $80.00, the same as it was in 2014! This includes handouts, a scrumptious plated lunch and refreshments.
Program registration may be made online via credit card or through the mail with payment by check. Registration deadlines:
Payment by check: Envelopes must be postmarked by January 21st.
Online with credit card payments: January 28th.
Registration fills up quickly and we’re frequently sold out. To avoid disappointment, register early and tell your colleagues and friends to do the same. Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate walk-in registrations.
A limited number of hotel rooms are available at the Crowne Plaza – Grand Rapids and Crowne Plaza – Novi sites for those wishing to avoid possible weather and traffic concerns or to enjoy a relaxing evening before the event.
