Join the Association of Professional Gardeners in welcoming warm weather at our 2019 Spring Kickoff. The Kickoff will feature breakfast, two expert garden speakers and lots of time to network.  Registration is from 8:00-8:45 a.m. and the program will begin at 9:00 a.m.  If you haven’t been to one of our educational events yet, now is your opportunity!  Registration is $45.00 for members and $55.00 for non-members.  Deadline to register is February 27, 2019. 

Susan Martin, freelance horticultural marketer, writer, speaker and consultant based in West Michigan.  With seemingly endless options for perennials, there must be a way to narrow down our choices.  Susan will discuss top-rated varities she has deemed worthy of Gold Standard status over the last decade of observing perennial trials in the Upper Midwest. She'll also help you see some perennials you may take for granted from a different perspective.  So sharpen you pencil and get ready to make a new list of must-haves for Spring 2019.

Richard Thomas, Owner, Soulscape Inc.  Despite careful thought, great design skill and extensive plant knowledge, every gardener gets their share of the unexpected;  hidden boulders, hardpan clay, a yard of topsoil infested with bindweed, and so on.  Richard will share with us his ideas on how to turn these unexpected events into successful designs.
