Details at 2021 Conference (michiganhta.org)
In this 2021 virtual conference, the videos that members of the Michigan Horticultural Thearpy Association (MHTA) group put together demonstrate the power of the people plant connection that helps to heal and ground us and the people we work with during tough times. The videos provide HT/TH activity ideas, research in EcoWellness, live demonstration of an HTR working with a client, and much more!
MHTA will be launching the virtual conference with a small zoom presentation on March 12th at 12noon EST. Here you can meet MHTA board members, learn more about programs that exist in Michigan and share ideas on how to deepen our roots and extend our branches to keep this work going!
By signing up:
You'll be given a link to the zoom call - March 12th at 12 noon EST - where you can meet board members and learn more about MHTA.
You will also receive links to all the videos we have listed that you can view at your own pace and on your schedule - those will be available on March 12th to start viewing!
You'll receive a PDF of our virtual conference booklet that contains - presenter's bios and their recommended resource guides, helpful HT definitions, and forms/templates to help you on the HT/TH path.
While we hope life will begin to regain some sense of balance by summer, we know that we're working on new ground that's likely going to be hard - it will need good nourishment (compost) and strong backs (digging in). So as a group we are striving to think creatively on how to make recycled growing containers - tool up for seed saving strategies - find objects and crafts from materials you don't have to buy - and bring the plant-people connections and facilitated sessions into homes, offices, clinics, and our hyper local spaces.
We hope you will join us! If you have any questions, please email: Liz@michiganhta.org
